Menorca, Nature and history is a short video showing contrast in this beautiful island in Spain.

Spanish island located in mediterranean sea famous becuse beaches but let’s see more about its nature and history.

Nature

Menorca is a Starlight Certificated island that means clear skies without light pollution amazing for night photography or astrophotographers that comes from all around the world, also beacuse warm mediterranean weather to see stars whole night confortably.

As Biosphere Reservation, government preserves rural and coast environments from human issues keeping original animals and plants variety, traditional construction and costumes.

History

Because its position in mediterranean sea, Menorca island was a desired place for all countries around and also for England, that’s why there is so many defense building, anmunition warehouse and weapons all around the coast.

The biggest is Isabel II fortress updated with modern weapons until Spanish Civil War on 1940, included a Vickers 381mm canyon.

But prehistoric buildings are in whole island where most iconic is called “Taula” dated on 2000bc or “Talaiot” dated on 1000bc.
